AmberBirch works with forestry companies, timber traders and forest owners, purchasing birch and other species of roundwood. Log purchasing terms
We buy more than 200,000 m³ of roundwood a year, which allows us to guarantee stable demand throughout our cooperation.

Log reception 24/7
We accept log deliveries every day; log measurement: every working day from 8:00 to 17:00.
Premium for certified roundwood
We offer a premium of EUR 5/m³ for 100% FSC® certified wood.
Log prices by quality grade and length
Diameter groups are determined by the top-end diameter of the log under bark, measured with TIMBETER photo-measurement technology in accordance with the LVS 82:2003 standard (in some cases VMF MI 07.17).
Veneer log prices by diameter group*
Valid from 28.05.2026. A premium of EUR 5/m³ applies to certified (FSC 100%) veneer logs.

Timber acceptance rules
We accept birch veneer logs in five payable lengths. The delivered length, including the trim allowance, must fall within the range shown in the chart. Each load must be accompanied by the following documents:
Felling permit
A copy of the felling permit or an equivalent document proving the ownership and origin of the timber, if the supplier is not certified under the FSC® and PEFC schemes and/or does not supply certified timber assortments.
Delivery note or invoice
A transport and accounting document – a delivery note or invoice – for each load delivered.
Suppliers who do not deliver FSC® certified timber must check the felling permit in the “Ozols” database of the Nature Data Management System (ozols.gov.lv) before harvesting and delivery. If any compartment of the felling site is marked as a “Biologically valuable area”, we do not accept roundwood from that site. Logs are measured using Timbeter or the independent measurement services of VMF LATVIA (www.vmf.lv).
